1. Pick Your Niche (AKA Topic)!

Before you can start a blog, you need to figure out what the blog is about. The more specific of a niche you pick, the happier you will be down the road. We suggest jotting down anything you like to do and feel you are passionate about. Perhaps you love photography or knitting, just pick something you really enjoy. Then take a look at your list and pick one of the topics that you think you could blog about long-term (it takes awhile to see results).

Because blogging takes a lot of time, effort, and sweat. It’s a long and winding road to success. The more you care about your topic, the less likely you are to become bored with it. Do Your Research

Once you pick a topic, do a little research to see what other blogs are out there. If you picked calculator watches, try doing a search in Google for “calculator watch blog.” This will give you a little insight about your competition (there might not even be any). If you find some blogs, go ahead and bookmark them. They will come in handy down the road.

Take Your Time

Just remember to pick your niche wisely. Make sure you feel 100% confident on your decision before moving on to the next step otherwise you’ll hit a road block sooner than later.
